Murphy will retire from the WIXX morning show on November 28 after a 32 year run at the station. Midwest is now conducting a search for someone to join incumbent co-hosts Katie Schurk and Nick Vitrano. Midwest VP/Programming Jeff McCarthy says, “Some of the qualities required; drive, competitiveness, relatable, solid with on-site interaction, and exceptional with all things social media. An authentic personality who thrives in front of a crowd and makes friends easily. We have made a habit of hiring S.W.A.N.?s. That acronym stands for Smart, Works Hard, Ambitious, Nice. We strongly inspire an environment that encourages creativity, fun and happiness.”
