The launch follows the move of the station’s former Classic Hits “104.9 Lake-FM” WPLA format to 1400 WGAP/105.9 W250DJ Maryville as ?Fun 105.9 (https://www.fun1059.com)?. It also coincides with the station’s move from rimshotting Knoxville from the north of town to the south with 439w/361m (https://fccdata.org/?lang=en&appid=25076f918aaf8074018abd22d6d106cb&fa cid=36230).
Compass Media Networks? Anna & Raven morning show remains on the 104.9 signal with the new format launch. 104.9 KVL also will add Gemini XIII’s The TJ Show for afternoons.
