https://radioinsight.com/wp-content/images/2023/08/wwac-200x200.jpgRick Brancadora’s 1020 WWAC Ocean City-Somers Point NJ and translators 101.3 W267BP Pleasantville/Atlantic City and 101.9 W270CV Palermo have dropped their Oldies “Wibbage Gold (https://www.wibg.com/am-schedule)” format and are currently stunting with a loop of Morgan Wallen’s “Last Nite”.
Interspersed in between songs are sound effects of a cat running away, a nod to Townsquare Media’s “Cat Country 107.3 (https://catcountry1073.com)” WPUR. If that wasn’t a sign that the station would soon be going Country, the station’s streaming player (https://streamdb6web.securenetsystems.net/cirruscontent/WIBGAM&) features the attached logo coining the station as “Hot Country 101“.
Until recently WWAC featured a split format. The station simulcast Spanish CHR “Mega 105.7 (https://www.lamega1057.com)” 1310 WEMG Camden/Philadelphia on weekdays and aired the Oldies format on weekends along with some Conservative Talk shows. The Spanish programming moved to 93.9 W230AA Atlantic City/WENJ-HD2 earlier this month (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/257583/mega-moves-in-atlantic-city/).
