Positioned as “Oxford’s New Rock Alternative”, the station is targeting the area that is home to the University of Mississippi.
Doug Amacker is serving as General Manager for Oxford Media Group. Amacker previously was GM of 93.5 WHJT Jackson and has held sales and management roles at multiple media properties across Mississippi. Chris Green will host mornings on WBZK and Business Development Specialist. Green previously has hosted mornings at WIQQ Greenville MS, WHBQ-FM and WIVG Memphis and programmed WSYE Tupelo.
The station’s website also shows that WBZK will feature “Oldies 94.7 (https://www.oxfordmediagroup.net/oldies947/)” on HD2, and Hip Hop “94.7 The Beat (https://www.oxfordmediagroup.net/947thebeat/)” on its HD3.
Oxford Media Group purchased the Construction Permit for what was then WRBM in February (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/248267/station-sales-week-of-2-3/) for $95,000. Fuss is the Managing Partner of Delta Radio Networks in western Mississippi, South Seas Broadcasting in American Samoa, and Kauai?i Broadcast Partners in Hawaii.
