Meyers exited WDCG in early April (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/250665/danny-meyers-meghan-lamontagne-depart-mornings-at-g105/) as part of iHeartMedia’s round of layoffs after just over three years in the morning spot. He joined WDCG (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/184053/danny-meyers-joins-g105s-showgram/) in February 2020 after previously serving as PD/morning host at Rhythmic AC ?Movin 107.7? WMOV-FM Norfolk VA. He also spent fourteen years co-hosting mornings at Mel Wheeler CHR ?K92? WXLK-FM Roanoke VA as well as stints in mornings at Hot AC ?Mix 95.7? WMWX Philadelphia, nights at 95.5 WPLJ New York and was APD/MD/night host at Rhythmic AC ?Star 93.7? WQSX Boston.
The addition of Meyers completes a year of upheaval in afternoons at WRMF. Nikki Imbracsio hosted the daypart until exiting in July 2022 (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/235002/wrmf-seeks-afternoon-host-as-nikki-imbracsio-departs/). Jeff Miles joined the station in January (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/246824/jeff-miles-joins-wrmf-as-afternoon-host/) to fill the timeslot and was joined by former WAPE Jacksonville morning host Lane in March (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/250282/meghan-lane-joins-jeff-miles-in-afternoons-at-wrmf/). Miles would then depart WRMF in May after just five months.
Hubbard Radio announced today that Danny Meyers will be joining the team at 97.9 WRMF as the afternoon drive host. Danny will be joining Meghan Lane already holding down afternoon duties to create the new ?Danny and Meghan? show.
WRMF Program Director, Randi West said, ?I have been trying to hire Danny for the better part of 5 years! To say that I am excited is an understatement. Danny is the perfect addition to our WRMF staff, and I can?t wait to hear Danny entertain South Florida for years to come.?
