Seacoast Oldies replaces Oldies “The Legends” on WWSF. It will absorb some of the music played on WWSF along with the local news, weather, sports reports, Sanford Mainers baseball, and high school football that had been heard on the station.
Port filed to transfer WXEX/WXEX-FM and the two translators to Educational Media Foundation in Mid-April (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/251078/emf-acquires-seacoast-oldies-wxex-wxex-fm/) with a $690,000 purchase price attached. The deal closed on Monday, with both stations set to join EMF’s Christian AC “K-Love (https://klove.com/)” network under new WPKC and WPKC-FM call letters pending.
