Simmons has been with Cumulus Shreveport since December 2014. The Minnesota native began his career as an intern at 101.3 KDWB Minneapolis and worked on-air at 89.9 KMOJ and “B96” KTTB before an eleven year run at 103.1 WEUP (https://103weup.com) Huntsville AL from 2003-14.

Cumulus Media (NASDAQ: CMLS) announces that it has promoted Anthony “Big Ant” Simmons to Program Director of Country Station 101.1 KRMD-FM in Shreveport, LA. Simmons will continue in his role as Program Director for Cumulus Shreveport?s #1 station, 99.7 KMJJ-FM, a position he has held for the last nine years.
Tish Boden, Vice President/Market Manager, Cumulus Shreveport, said: “I am very confident that Anthony will make magic happen as the new Program Director for our Cumulus Shreveport All-American Country Station 101.1 KRMD-FM.
