KSQD, which launched in February 2019 (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/174577/ksqd-debuts-in-santa-cruz/) as the spiritual successor to the former 89.9 KUSP, purchased the two signals earlier this year from Educational Media Foundation for $375,000 (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/248342/ksqd-to-expand-to-monterey-salinas/). The signals had been airing Radio Nueva Vida?s (https://nuevavida.com) Spanish Christian network.
The station will be holding an official launch at a ribbon-cutting in Monterey’s Window On The Bay Park on Wednesday at 1pm.
