Sanchez joined WBZ in June 2018 from Washington DC where he served as Operations Manager/Program Director for Spanish Tropical ?El Zol 107.9? WLZL. He first came to Washington to launch ?All News 99.1? WNEW in 2012 after twelve years at 880 WCBS New York where he rose to Assistant Director of News & Programming.

iHeartMedia Boston?s Legendary WBZ NewsRadio announced changes to its leadership team today, including elevating Bill Flaherty to Director of Programming and Operations and Jay Borselle to News Director, effective July 1, 2023. Flaherty succeeds Rob Sanchez, current Program Director and Vice President of News, Talk and Sports, who will transition into an innovation focused consultant role at the end of June.
