Utilizing programming from Local Radio Networks, the station is promoting itself as “The greatest songs and singers from the 1950?s to today” with core artists including Frank Sinatra, Barbara Streisand, Michael Buble, Elton John, Barry Manilow, and Celine Dion. The station’s lineup features Jim Bosh in mornings, Rodney Tanner in middays, Bob Worthington in afternoons, and John Gleason at night.
The move comes as Program Director/morning host Megan Sinclair departs the company to join KOHD-TV (https://centraloregondaily.com) as morning anchor.
The flip leaves GCC Bend’s “Power 94 (https://backyardbend.com/power94/)” KXIX Sunriver as the only CHR in the market. KWXS was sixth in the market with a 5.5 share in the February 2023 Eastlan ratings, while KXIX was fourth with an 8.2 share.
