The new format creates a lot of overlap with sister Rhythmic CHR “Hot 98.1 (https://www.hot981.com)” WHZT-FM Williamston and also targets Audacy Hip Hop “The Block (https://www.audacy.com/963theblock)” WFBC-HD2/W242BX/W283CG/W299BO. WHZT currently ranks seventh in the market with a 4.1 share, while The Block fell to a 0.9 in the March 2023 Nielsen Audio ratings. “Awesome 99.5” goes out with a 0.7 share.
