Laura Coates, who had been hosting afternoons, will move to mornings from 7-9am. Coates also serves as an anchor and senior legal analyst for CNN. Julie Mason will move in reverse from mornings to afternoons from 3-6pm.
P.O.T.U.S. continues to feature Michael Smerconish from 9am-12pm, Steve Scully from 12-2pm, and Dan Abrams from 2-3pm.
Today SiriusXM?s bipartisan political and news channel, P.O.T.U.S. channel 124, debuted a new daytime line-up. With the 2024 presidential race already underway, host Laura Coates will now kick off coverage of the day?s breaking news from SiriusXM?s Washington, D.C. studios, with host Julie Mason returning to afternoons on the newly rebranded The Julie Mason Show.
Starting at 7:00am ET, each weekday on her eponymous program Laura Coates will preview the day?s key stories to watch in both Washington and around the globe. Coates, who also serves as CNN?s Senior Legal Analyst and host of CNN Tonight, will continue to use her prosecutorial skills to analyze the top stories from a legal perspective. In addition to hard news, Coates will also cover top cultural moments, hosting lively conversations with leaders and experts in the world of politics, pop culture, and the law, as well as regular interactions with listeners.
Today also marks Julie Mason?s return to afternoons, with The Julie Mason Show premiering today at 3pm ET. A veteran Washington journalist now in her 12th year at SiriusXM, Mason?s program will feature interviews with a compelling mix of journalists, strategists, and other politicos, as well as politicians from both sides of the political aisle. Mason will also host regular Town Hall events from SiriusXM?s Washington studios, as well as other locations. Her array of past guests have included everyone from politicians including former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and Vice President Mike Pence, to entertainers including Succession?s Brian Cox and the cast of Veep. Mason will also continue to take live calls from listeners.

In addition to her SiriusXM program, Coates is a CNN primetime anchor and Senior Legal Analyst, as well as the author of the New York Times bestseller Just Pursuit: A Black Prosecutor’s Fight for Fairness. A former federal prosecutor, Coates began her legal career in private practice as a first amendment and intellectual property litigator before being called to serve as a Trial Attorney in the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice where she specialized in the enforcement of voting rights. She has also served as an Assistant United States Attorney for the District of Columbia where she prosecuted myriad felony offenses.
