Shelby Taranto will join the station as midday host. Taranto has worked across New England with stints on-air and in production at WAAF, WBCN, WFNX and iHeartMedia Boston, WGIR Manchester NH, and WHEB Portsmouth. She was also the voice of SiriusXM’s Octane channel.
Joining WHXR for afternoons is longtime Boston talent Mistress Carrie. Carrie, who spent 29 years at 107.3 WAAF, also hosts afternoons on Cumulus Media Classic Rock “100 The Pike (https://www.pikefm.com)” WWFX Worcester MA and for two of Westwood One’s national Rock formats.
Binnie Media?s 106.3 The Bone (WHXR Portland) has announced a newly refreshed weekday lineup. The Free Beer & Hot Wings morning show will continue to wake-up Portland as it has for the past 15 plus years. Directly after, the Bone kicks off your workday with an hour and a half of commercial free music hosted by new mid-day personality Shelby. A New England heritage talent, Shelby has been heard on Rock 101 (WGIR FM) Manchester, NH, Kiss 108 (WXKS FM) Boston, Sirius XM Octane, and more.
Another new edition to the team, driving listeners home starting at 3pm is former WAAF Boston personality, Mistress Carrie. Carrie spent 22 years at WAAF in many roles and is now host of ?The Mistress Carrie Podcast? and can be heard on many musical outlets around the world.
