The move replaces the former Soft AC “Sunny 95.1” format on KSIG. KSIG had featured the Sunny brand and Soft AC format since the launch of its translator (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/170994/ksig-flips-to-soft-ac-with-translator-launch/) in 2018.
With the move of the Classic Country format, KPCZ-FM is currently stunting as “106.7 Wayne-FM” featuring non-stop Cajun/Zydeco artist Wayne Toups.
Both stations rimshot the Lafayette market from the west. KPCZ registered a 0.9 share in the Fall 2022 Nielsen Audio ratings down from the 2.8 it had in Fall 2021 prior to its rebranding (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/220633/kpcz-fm-rebrands-as-freedom-106-7/) from “Pure Country 106.7” to “Freedom” in February 2022. KSIG had a 0.2 share.
