The stunt started at 8am this morning with KMLE rotating the 36 songs hyped by Brand Manager/afternoon host ‘Drew Blando’ Bland as a social media challenge. The move marks a complete 180 degree turn for Wallen at radio after Audacy, Beasley Media, Cumulus Media, iHeartMedia and SiriusXM were among the station groups to pull all of Wallen’s music in February 2021 along with him being temporarily suspended by his record label and removed from many award shows that year. Despite the pullbacks, Wallen’s 2021 album “Dangerous: The Double Album” was the #1 album across all genres on the Billboard charts that year and his music gradually returned to radio a few months later.
