The fourth and final day of Nielsen Audio’s PPM releases for the month bring Austin, Raleigh/Durham, Indianapolis, Nashville, Milwaukee, Providence, Norfolk, Jacksonville, Greensboro/Winston-Salem, West Palm Beach, Memphis, and Hartford.

It was a big month for translators in Austin as Waterloo Media AAA “97.1 Austin City Limits Radio” KGSR-HD2 rises 1.1 – 1.5 – 1.7, Audacy Classic Hip Hop “Hot 95.9” KKMJ-HD3 is up 0.9 – 1.2 – 1.5, and iHeartMedia’s “103.1 Austin’s 80s Station” KVET-HD2 gains 0.5 – 0.7 – 1.1.

For the sake of clarity for Raleigh we will be comparing numbers for two months ago with the Holiday in parenthesis where applicable.
Radio One Adult R&B “Foxy 107.1/104.3” WFXC/WFXK claims the lead with a 7.8 to 8.5 (9.6 in Holiday) gain. iHeartMedia Conservative Talk “Talk 106.1” WTKK slides 9.2 to 8.3 (10.4 Holiday). Public News/Talk 91.5 WUNC-FM moves 8.2 to 8.3 (9.2). Curtis Media Variety Hits “96.1 BBB” WBBB rises 4.1 to 5.6 (N/A), while sister Classic Hits “Kix 102” WKIX-FM falls 6.5 to 5.6 (N/A) despite adding two additional simulcast signals.
iHeartMedia Country “B93.9” WNCB rises 3.3 to 4.2 (3.8) to tie Curtis Media’s 94.7 WQDR which was up 3.7 to 4.2.
After replacing their 102.5 signal with a pair of translators, Curtis Media CHR “Pulse-FM” 96.9 WPLW-FM drops 2.0 to 1.4 (N/A), while the former “Oldies 104.7’s” move to a weaker 93.5 translator drops 850 WKIX 2.0 to 1.0 (N/A).

Radio One takes the next three spots with AC “B105.7” WYXB 17.1 to 9.3, News/Talk 93.1 WIBC rising 5.7 to 7.2, and Country “97.1 Hank-FM” WLHK jumping up 5.7 to 7.2. Cumulus Country 95.5 WFMS (4.9 to 5.7) and iHeartMedia Classic Rock “Q95” WFBQ (5.3 to 5.7) tie for fifth.
Cumulus CHR 99.5 WZPL rises 3.9 to 4.7, while sister AC “Mix 107.9” WNTR trends up 3.3 – 3.6 – 4.3.
Both Indianapolis Hip Hop stations slide as Radio One’s “Hot 100.9” WHHH falls 2.9 – 2.2 – 1.6 and iHeartMedia’s “Real 98.3” WZRL is down 1.9 – 1.5 – 1.3.

Cumulus Media News/Talk “99.7 WTN” WWTN trends up 4.4 – 4.9 – 6.2, while sister Sports “104.5 The Zone” WGFX slides 7.3 – 6.6 – 5.5 and Adult R&B “92Q” WQQK falls 6.2 – 5.4 – 4.0.
In July 2009, Cumulus Media flipped a struggling Sports station “106.7 The Fan” WNFN to CHR as “i106.7“. Following a 2016 sale to Midwest and signal upgrade, the station rebranded as “Hot 106.7” in May 2020. Now for the first time since its flip almost fourteen years later, WNFN has topped iHeartMedia’s heritage CHR “107.5 The River” WRVW with WNFN trending up 1.4 – 2.3 – 3.2, while WRVW was up 2.4 to 3.1. Ratings Expert Chris Huff adds that it is also WNFN’s largest share since September 2021.
