Sheltraw has spent 45 years with the company joining as a receptionist in 1978 before rising to Promotions Director and then moving on-air in mornings with Jim Kramer in the late 1990s. She told MLive.com (https://www.mlive.com/news/saginaw-bay-city/2023/02/after-45-year-career-wkcq-radio-host-barbara-sheltraw-retires.html), “Here, I always felt like I was part of the growth of this business rather than just a cog in the wheel. That, for me, is the best thing I could ever hope for in a career in broadcasting. The hardest part for me (in retiring) will that I won?t be a part of that.?
Sheltraw’s brother, JoJo Girard, recently departed mornings (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/247223/jojo-girard-departs-mornings-at-wfgr/) at Townsquare Media Classic Hits 98.7 WFGR Grand Rapids.
