Sports “ESPN 1480” KLMS Lincoln has begun simulcasting News/Talk 1240 KFOR (https://www.kfornow.com) Lincoln as the signals prepare to swap translators. KFOR will now be heard on FM on 101.5 K268DF, moving from the 250 watt/94m (https://fccdata.org/?lang=en&appid=5c8c6b648b23430e974ac1b6063ebeb7&fa cid=138615) 103.3 K277CA to the 130 watt/89m (https://fccdata.org/?lang=en&appid=8772294df99d4036b67fc1b6063ebeb7&fa cid=141262) signal with both translators operating from KFOR’s tower.
KLMS had a 0.9 share in the Fall 2022 Nielsen Audio ratings. The flip leaves BDP Communications’ “93.7 The Ticket (https://theticketfm.com)” KNTK Firth as the only Lincoln focused Sports station. KFOR had a 2.8 share, which tied it with iHeartMedia’s 1110 KFAB (https://kfab.iheart.com) Omaha, but trailing NRG Media’s 1400/99.3 KLIN’s (https://klin.com) 5.1 share.
Alpha has not yet announced longterm plans for the 1480 and 103.3 signals.
