Stewart has been with WFMK since 1991 after previous stints at Top 40s 1320 WILS from 1976-77 and 94.9 WVIC from 1977 to 1991. He hosted mornings at WFMK with Monica Harris from 2007 to 2021.
In a tribute on WFMK’s website (https://99wfmk.com/danny-calls-it-a-day/), afternoon host John Robinson wrote, “When Danny came in to the studio and told me he was retiring, I was stunned and speechless. Those were words I never thought I?d hear. I figured he?d be doing this until he was in his nineties, because it was his passion, his hobby, his love.”
