The 1kW AM operated out of the company’s nearby Augusta cluster along with CHR “92 Moose (https://92moose.fm)” WMME, Country “B98.5 (https://b985.fm)” WEBB, and 1400 WJZN/95.9 W240DH which is part of the company’s regional Alternative “WCYY (https://wcyy.com)” brand based in Portland.
In Danbury, 940 WINE Brookfield CT has turned off its transmitter. WINE has been simulcasting sister Classic Rock “I95 (https://i95rock.com)” WRKI in recent years. WRKI and sister Country “105.5 The Wolf (https://danburycountry.com)” WDBY remain.
In both cases, Townsquare told the FCC in an STA filing, “Due to economic conditions in the market, the licensee was forced to take the station off the air temporarily. The licensee respectfully requests special temporary authority for the station to remain silent. The licensee will promptly notify the Commission when it is able to resume station operations.”
