I will no longer be doing mornings at WFGR. As always, I walk away full of gratitude that I lasted this long.” He also tweeted (https://twitter.com/jojoWFGR/status/1612768843985829888), “It’s been a great nine years here at WFGR. And the listeners here have been wonderful to me. That’s what I will miss the most. I will see you soon. Where? I have no idea. But I ain’t going away.”
Girard had been hosting mornings on WFGR since 2014 after previously working in the Grand Rapids market on then “104.5 Sunny-FM” WSNX from 1988 to 1994. In between, he spent eighteen years in Baltimore at “Mix 106.5” WWMX. He also hosted mornings in San Diego at 92.5 XHRM.
