I'm hearing rumors again that the 96.9 FM Boulder repeater (licensed to Arvada K245AD) previously owned by Front Range Sports and sold to Chuck Lontine's group "Boulder Radio Partners" last year may be coming on the air soon and will be just a small part of a bigger plan for them to broadcast in the Denver metro area. Another one of Lontine's stations is AAA/Alternative hybrid format KKVM 104.7 FM in Vail. http://themile.fm/

It is rumored KKVM will be repeated here in Denver. Lontine plans on buying another signal here in the metro area since that 96.9 repeater can't be moved or upgraded where it would cause interference to Colorado Springs KCCY 96.9 FM.

So I'm assuming they are looking at locations on the north side of Denver for moving K245AD's transmitter.

Well, here's an update:

Boulder Radio Partners, LLC has applied for a Silent STA for FM translator K245AD Arvada, Colorado after a routine inspection revealed that "all of its transmission equipment had either been stolen or removed from the site."

So it sounds like the launch may be a ways off now...
