Alpha began operating (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/122384/wjxn-goes-hot-g-alpha-lma/) WJXN-FM in January 2018 via a five year Time Brokerage Agreement first as Classic Hip Hop “G100” before flipping it to Variety Hits in February 2021 (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/205191/jack-fm-returns-to-jackson/). This was the second iteration of “Jack-FM” on the frequency as it also utilized the format and branding from July 2012 to February 2014 while under an LMA to New South Radio.
The station currently ranks tied for thirteenth in the Jackson market with a 1.1 share in the November 2022 Nielsen Audio ratings.
WJXN-FM is currently airing Educational Media Foundation’s Contemporary Worship “Air 1 (https://air1.com/)” network likely as filler programming as it is also heard in the market on the EMF owned 93.9 WJAI Pearl.
