WCRW has begun running promos announcing the impending end of its Brokered Ethnic “New World Radio (https://newworldradionetwork.com/en)” programming. New WTSD call letters will take effect with the LMA. No word yet on format plans for the station.
The LMA will last for three years with iHeart also having an exclusive option to purchase the station during the term of the agreement. iHeart acquired 1120 WUST Washington from Potomac Radio Group in 2020 for $1.2 million (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/197090/station-sales-week-of-9-4/) to serve as the Washington outlet for its “Black Information Network (https://dmv.binnews.com)“.
