Positioning as “DFW’s 90s & 2000s”, the move takes KLIF-FM out of direct format competition with iHeartMedia’s “106.1 Kiss-FM (https://1061kissfm.iheart.com)” KHKS and closer to Hot AC “102.9 Now (https://1029now.iheart.com)” KDMX. The move has the station emphasizing music from the 1990s through 2010s with a handful of currents and recurrents remaining.
KLIF-FM had fallen below a one share in recent months registering a 0.8 (https://radioinsight.com/ratings/dallas-fort-worth/) in the last two Nielsen Audio ratings monthlies. KHKS currently ranks sixth in the market with a 4.3 share.
