Brown told the Lake Powell Chronicle (https://lakepowellchronicle.com/article/page-radio-stations-to-go-dark-on-december-31) that they stations are shutting down as she is retiring and relocating to New Mexico, but is actively searching for someone in the community to buy the stations to keep them operating.
Brown says she is asking a “bankruptcy price” for the company, which also produces local travel guides, brochures and an app. The stations serve the area along the Arizona and Utah border along Lake Powell. She does note that the city of Page is attempting to have KPGE’s tower vacated from the land leased from the city so homes can be built there.
