Rush was diagnosed with T-Cell Lymphoma (https://allofsa.net/2019/06/29/local-radio-talent-announces-he-has-rare-type-of-cancer/) in 2019, which accelerated this summer. When diagnosed he told listeners (https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=2343817399274442), “There?s no cure, just treatment and hope for remission, which is what we?re doing right now.?
The 44 year-old Rush joined KXXM in 2005 rising to APD/afternoon host in 2006 and Program Director in 2017. He began his career in his native Iowa as a teenager and then spent five years at 101.5 WBNQ Bloomington IL. Rush is survived by his wife Saralyn Ferrell.
