KSEK previously featured a Sports format airing Fox Sports Radio under former owner Michael Landis until being swapped to MyTown Media (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/219103/multiple-recent-changes-in-joplin-pittsburg/) last year, who switched it to CBS Sports Radio at the start of 2022. Landis would drop the “My Country” brand from 101.7 KHST-FM Lamar MO in June in favor of Oldies (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/227428/khst-flips-to-oldies/).
MyTown Media operates the “My Country” brand in six Kansas markets with KSEK joining 93.5 KKDT Burdett/Hays, 98.3 KQZQ Kiowa, 99.5 KHDL Americus/Emporia, 102.9 KBIX Independence, and 1460 KKOY/99.9 K260DF Chanute. All six stations feature Colby Ericson in afternoons with his “35 South” Red Dirt show airing on Fridays.
