In 2020, the season started even earlier with WWIZ making the move (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/198517/wwiz-youngstown-begins-christmas-music-season/) on September 25. No station has made the move yet this year.
That may be about to change as iHeartMedia has registered a domain pointing towards the first station using Christmas music to potentially stunt to a new brand after the holidays.
