Barger, who owns multiple businesses (https://knoxvillevoyager.com/interview/community-highlights-meet-nancy-barger-of-the-pavilion-at-hunter-valley-and-barger-concepts/) in the Knoxville area, is a newcomer to radio. A former pilot, she owns an event venue, floral company, and clothing boutique in the area.
She joins Tack, who joined WIVK in July (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/230785/joey-tack-returns-to-knoxville-to-host-mornings-at-wivk/) from the APD/morning host role at “97.1 Hank-FM (https://hankfm.com)” WLHK Indianapolis. He spent fourteen years in Knoxville at SummitMedia Rhythmic CHR “Hot 104.5 (https://www.hot1045.net)” WKHT Knoxville rising from Music Director/nights to PD/afternoons during his tenure. Tack also served as Program Director at Bonneville Country 105.1 KNCI Sacramento and has worked in his native Iowa at Clear Channel Quad Cities as MD/night host at “All Hit 98.9” WHTS-FM.
