Julia Lepidi, who had been part of the “Church of Lazlo” afternoon show until it was dropped from the Detroit lineup (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/237657/church-of-lazlo-to-depart-detroit-las-vegas/) in August, returns to the station in mornings. It marks a return to the daypart for her on the frequency as she co-hosted mornings on CHR “98.7 Amp Radio” from July 2018 until its flip to Soft AC four months later. She will also continue to be heard in middays on fourteen of Audacy’s sixteen Top 40 stations across the country and in afternoons on another “B96 (https://www.audacy.com/b96)” WBBM-FM Chicago. Mornings on WDZH have been jockless since the cancellation of the Cane & Corey show last December (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/216968/cane-corey-let-go-from-alt-92-3-new-york-other-audacy-markets/).
“Alt 103.7 (https://www.audacy.com/alt1037dfw)” KVIL Dallas midday host Ian Camfield will add midday duties in Detroit. Camfield is on his second stint at KVIL, where he hosted afternoons from January through September 2020 and then returned (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/215332/audacy-makes-alternative-lineup-changes-in-dallas-kansas-city-as-klein-ally-go-back-to-los-angeles-only/) as midday host last November. Camfield spent most of his career at “104.9 Xfm” London over two stints from 1997-2007 and 2009-2015. He hosted afternoons at “92.3 K-Rock” WXRK New York in between and has also hosted mornings at “93.3 Alt AZ” KDKB Phoenix.
“Alt 92.3” WNYL New York based Joe ‘Brady’ Blum moves from middays to afternoons. Brady has been hosting middays on WDZH since it flipped to Alternative in November 2020 and also is in afternoons at “107.7 The End” KNDD Seattle.
With the lineup change, the station has also repositioned from “Detroit’s New Alternative” to “Detroit’s Alternative Rock”.

Audacy (NYSE: AUD) has announced a new weekday programming lineup for ALT 98.7 (WDZH-FM) in Detroit. The station will air “The Julia Show” starring Detroit native Julia Lepidi from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. ET. The new lineup will also include Ian Camfield in middays and Brady in afternoons.
“I’m so excited to be writing the next chapter of ALT 98.7 in Detroit alongside Julia and all of our passionate air talent, and I’m grateful to Dave Richards, Debbie Kenyon and Tim Roberts for the leadership and support,” said Christine Malovetz, Vice President of Regional Programming, Audacy.
“Hosting my own morning show in my hometown and on the frequency I got my start on in this industry is a surreal moment. I’m elated,” said Lepidi. “Thank you to Dave Richards, Christine Malovetz, Debbie Kenyon and Tim Roberts for the opportunity!”
Lepidi got her start on 98.7 in Detroit in 2012, working in promotions while it was known as AMP Radio. After a three year run of hosting nights, she was promoted to mornings in 2018. When the station flipped formats, she went on to host nights on B96 (WBBM-FM) in Chicago, where she currently hosts afternoons. “The Julia Show” is heard in 15 markets including Phoenix, Miami, Philadelphia, Chicago, Las Vegas and more.
