Hosted by Dan O’Malley and Alfie Coy, the 5-7pm show was the successor to the Russ Martin Show following Martin’s death in February 2021 (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/205628/kegl-dallas-afternoon-host-russ-martin-found-dead-in-home/). Taking its name from the nickname for the show given by Martin, the hosts were longtime members of Martin’s team. A third co-host, Clois Glenn ‘Clo’ Raborn exited in January (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/218845/kegl-host-charged-with-engaging-in-sexual-conduct-with-young-child/) after being arrested and later pleading guilty on charges of production of child pornography.
Additionally Don Davis has resigned as Program Director of KEGL and Classic Rock “Lonestar 92.5 (https://lonestar925.iheart.com)” KZPS. Davis joined KZPS in 2008 and later added oversight of KEGL. He previously programmed WFYV Jacksonville, KHYT Tucson and WIOT Toledo.
