The $700,000 purchase includes the land used for WXCE’s tower site. A Time Brokerage Agreement for $1500 per month to operate just WXCE/W297CU took effect on September 2, but the station has not yet resumed operations.
Upon the closing of all of its pending deals, Civic Media’s ownership will own eleven stations across the state of Wisconsin. The company has launched its Liberal Talk format (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/235988/civic-media-buys-two-more-launches-pair-of-liberal-talkers-in-northern-wisconsin/) as “Bull Falls Radio (https://bullfallsradio.com)” 1230 WXCO/98.9 W255DN Wausau and “Locally Grown Radio (https://wfhr.com)” 1320 WFHR/97.5 W247DE Wisconsin Rapids.
Zoe Communications will retain its six other stations in the region: 95.3 WGMO Spooner, 101.1 WHSM-FM Hayward, 104.9 WZEZ Balsam Lake, 105.7 WXCX Siren, 106.3 WPLT Sarona, and 940 WXNK Shell Lake.
