Knupp joined the then Mid-Atlantic Network owned cluster in July 1998 and has also served as PD/afternoon host of Classic Rock “98 Rock (https://98rockme.iheart.com)” WACL since he launched it in 2000. Prior to iHeart, Knupp spent nearly a decade at Verstandig Broadcasting in Harrisonburg.
Knupp writes, “My LinkedIn profile says I was employed at Mid Atlantic/ClearChannel/iHeart Media for 24 years. When I started there I had planned to be there two years tops. But one thing led to another and *poof* three college-aged/adult children later, here we are. Unfortunately all the “fun” ended today. As media corporate Jenga continues, the block with my name on it was pulled out today. Will miss the peeps, the public and the clients” Carry on!” He is beginning the search for his next position and can be reached at knuppradio@gmail.com.
