https://i0.wp.com/radioinsight.com/wp-content/images/2022/09/wmvr.jpg?resize=200%2C200&ssl=1With Michelle Stallard’s Fender Broadcasting closing on its acquisition of Variety Hits “105.5 Tam-FM” WMVR-FM Sidney OH earlier this summer, she has returned the station to its prior identity as Hot AC “Hits 105.5 (https://www.1055tamfm.com)“.
WMVR previously was “Hits 105.5” until its flip to Variety Hits (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/93961/wmvr-becomes-tam-fm/) in August 2015. Stallard, who has worked at the station since 2010, most recently as Assistant General Manager, purchased the station earlier this year for $250,000. She wrote on the station’s website (https://www.1055tamfm.com/the_crew/tam-michelle.php), “I am beyond blessed to have had the opportunity to purchase WMVR-FM. I started working here February 1st 2010. There are no words to express my appreciation to the Stuhlmueller family for entrusting me with the vision their father founded over 50 years ago. I am very excited about changing the station back to Hits 105.5 The Upper Miami Valley’s Hit Music Station. WMVR has always had a special place in my heart. My passion is to be a part of the community, and help other businesses thrive through the power of radio.”
The station serves the Upper Miami Valley of Ohio south of Lima and north of Dayton along I-75. No changes to the station’s on-air lineup accompanied the change as Tracy Kies remains in mornings and ‘D-Rock Derek’ continues as Program Director and afternoon host.
