The “NRG” brand is now being heard on CRC Media West’s 100.9 K265FH Cathedral City fed by Marker Broadcasting’s 95.9 KJJZ-HD4 Indian Wells. K265FH had gone silent in June (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/226879/kxps-counting-down-to-change/) after the sign-off of 1200 KPSF Cathedral City and the end of Westmark LLC’s lease to operate the stations as Oldies “Studio 100.9”.
Reese launched the brand in Key West in January 2021 (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/206801/93-7-nrg-brings-a-second-dance-station-to-key-west/) after a career in television news, most recently serving as Assistant News Director at “Fox 11” KTTV Los Angeles. He also hosts “Disco with David” in mornings from 7-10am on both stations.
“100.9 NRG” becomes the third station in Palm Springs playing Dance music joining Audacy’s LGBTQ+ “Channel Q (https://www.audacy.com/wearechannelq)” network heard on 103.1 KQPS Palm Desert and KGAY PSP’s “106.5 KGAY (https://kgaypalmsprings.com)” 1270 KGAY/106.5 K293CL Thousand Palms.
