https://radioinsight.com/wp-content/images/2021/09/kdka-200x200.pngFollowing this week’s company-wide layoffs (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/238057/round-of-audacy-layoffs-imminent/), Audacy News/Talk 1020 KDKA/100.1 W261AX Pittsburgh will debut a new weekday lineup (https://www.audacy.com/kdkaradio/news/local/the-new-kdka-radio-lineup) starting Monday, August 29.
Current 9am to 12pm host Marty Griffin will move to mornings from 5:30 to 10am to join incumbent host Larry Richert, newscaster Paul Rasmussen and traffic reporter Kathy Berggren. Griffin will take the slot that had been held by Kevin Battle from February 2020 until his departure in the week’s layoffs.
Paul Zeise, who has hosted evenings on Sports “93.7 The Fan (https://www.audacy.com/937thefan)” KDKA-FM since January 2015, will move to 10am to 2pm on KDKA. Zeise also serves as a sports columnist for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and analyst for KDKA-TV/WPCW-TV.
Rick Dayton’s afternoon show will expand from 3-6pm to now start a 2pm. That eliminates the rotation of 12-3pm hosts that have held the timeslot since the retirement of Lynne Hayes-Freeland (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/212732/lynne-hayes-freeland-to-step-down-from-kdka-midday-show/) in November 2021.
