The former Hot AC “Power 92.7” KINL Eagle Pass and “Coyote Country 104.9” KVOU-FM Uvalde will go to Francisco Javier Navarro’s Roca Radio LLC for $100. Navarro will purchase South Texas Radio LLC from Gonzalez with the licenses for the former “Tejano y Mas 1270” KEPS Eagle Pass, Hot AC “Hits 93.9” KBNU and “Tejano y Mas 102.3” KUVA Uvalde for an additional $100.
Positive Alternative Radio buys 1440 WLXN/106.1 W291DD Lexington NC from Davidson County Broadcasting Company for $348,360 plus an additional $10,000 from an option agreement for the station paid last year. The deal breaks down the purchase as $171,350 for WLXN, $148,368 for W291DD, and $28,650 for the property attached. WLXN/W291DD currently air Educational Media Foundation’s “Air1 (https://air1.com/)” network.
William ‘Buddy Shula’ Ostrander’s Radio One Key West acquires Dance “93.7 NRG (https://937nrg.com)” WKEY-FM from Robert Spottswood’s Spottswood Partners II, LTD for $301,000. WKEY-FM is currently operated by David Reece’s NRG Media LLC via LMA until the end of February 2024. Shula owns Oldies “Big Weck (https://bigweck.com)” 1230 WECK Cheektowaga/Buffalo NY.
Walker Newberry’s Red Sky LLC acquires 99.1 WWKN Morgantown KY from Newberry Broadcasting for $200,000. WWKN currently simulcasts Classic Hits “100.7 Sam FM (https://www.bowlinggreensam.com)” WKLX Brownsville/Bowling Green. Red Sky recently closed on the purchase of Country 1220 WFKN Franklin KY.
Fresh Life Church sells Silent 88.9 KJCB (formerly KYWH) Lockwood and 107.1 K296EM Billings MT to CSN International for $70,000.
Bill Davison Evangelistic Association sells Southern Gospel 760 WURL (https://www.wurlradio.com) Moody/Birmingham AL to Donald Jennings Evangelistic Association for $175,000.
Olivet Nazarene University sells 89.3 WUON Morris IL to 2820 Communications Incorporated for $25,000. 2820 operates the regional “Catholic Spirit Radio (https://www.catholicspiritradio.com)” network.
