https://radioinsight.com/wp-content/images/2022/08/froggypitt-200x200.jpgAfter five years as Classic Country “Willie 103.5“, Forever Media has flipped 103.5 WLYI Burgettstown PA back to a simulcast of Country “Froggy (https://www.foreverpittsburgh.com/froggy/)” 94.9 WOGG Oliver and 104.3 WOGI Moon Township.
WLYI had reverted back to the WOGH calls it held until its flip to Classic Country in April 2017 (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/117410/forever-brings-classic-country-pittsburgh/). Most of its signal covering the Western half of the Pittsburgh market duplicates the coverage of 104.3 WOGI, with the exception of near Washington PA south of Pittsburgh and the adjacent Wheeling WV market.
WOGH is currently operating at lower than its authorized 19.5kW/247m (https://fccdata.org/?lang=en&appid=be8f69b259cb4fecbac0c1b6063ebeb7&fa cid=65408) licensed power due to a transmitter failure last month. A replacement transmitter is not scheduled to arrive for several more weeks.
“Willie 103.5” had a 1.0 share in the June 2022 Nielsen Audio ratings. WOGI and WOGG were listed separately with WOGI having a 1.6 share and WOGG a 1.3 share. Even their combined 2.9 trailed Audacy’s “Y108 (https://www.audacy.com/y108)” WDSY’s 4.9 share and iHeartMedia’s “Big 104.7 (https://big1047.iheart.com)” WPGB 3.8.
