FCC ActionsFour New York area real estate owners have been issues Notices of Illegal Radio Broadcasting for pirate operations emanating from their properties.

2062 Holding Corp. for 105.7 in the Bronx
Rachel Bridge Corporation for 95.3 above the George Washington Bridge
Jean Yvon Francois and Elcie Francois-Lapomarede for 87.9 in Brooklyn
Michelle Hepburn for 104.5 Mount Vernon

The FCC has overturned its selection for MX Group 95 from last fall’s non-commercial filing window. Originally granted to New Beginnings Movement’s application for 88.5 in Seymour IN over five other applicants, a Petition to Deny stated that New Beginnings Movement’s application falsely stated that its 60 dBu contour encompassed 59,306 people when it reality it served 28,269. That would drop its number of people providing a second non-commercial service to 1322 rather than 59,306 making it ineligible for a fair distribution preference claim. That allows World Federation of Pastors and Ministers of the Full Gospel, Inc.’s application for 88.5 Country Squire Lake to become the new selection as it would provide a first or second service to 6,293 people.
WDZP Media’s 101.1 WDZP-LP West Palm Beach was issued a Notice of Violation for failing to permit FCC inspectors to conduct an inspection during business hours. “While on scene, the Agents verbally stated they were on scene to conduct an inspection of WDZP-LP and displayed their badge and credentials to two different Station representatives. Those representatives denied the Agents access to the Station. The Station owner (reached by telephone during the Agents’ visit) also refused to make the Station available for inspection by the Agents, despite the Agents’ repeatedly reminding the owner of the requirement that FCC licensees must allow such inspection.”
Birach Broadcasting’s Brokered Gospel 1340 KJMU Sand Springs/Tulsa OK has entered into a consent decree and will be granted a short-term one year license renewal to resolve issues related to being silent for 50% of its previous license period from February 25, 2014 to June 1, 2021 with periods of silence from 3/14/14 to 3/12/15, 3/17/15 to 3/13/16, 9/10/17 to 9/7/18 and 10/1/20 to 5/24/21. KJMU also failed to maintain its online public file.
Best Media’s 90.7 KGBV Hardin TX has entered a consent decree for failing to maintain their online public files.
The following licensees have entered consent decrees for failing to maintain their online political files:

DeletionsGrinnell College’s 88.5 KDIC Grinnell IA has been deleted after the station failed to reply to an FCC inquiry into its operational status. The FCC had noted that KDIC had been silent since August 31, 2020 which would have made the license expired a year later.
