Mead joins VSiN from PointsBet, where he has served as Vice President of Content since October 2020. Mead has also served as VP/Media Partnerships for the XFL and Xtreme Fighting Championships, VP/Programming and Special Projects for NBC Sports Group and NBC Sports Boston, GM of NBC Sports Northwest, Director of Program Development & Acquisitions for NESN, and Director of New Media Content and Director of Programming & Acquisitions for ESPN.

VSiN, The Sports Betting Network (“VSiN”), announced today that sports media executive Len Mead will join the VSiN team as General Manager. The only 24/7 sports betting network dedicated to providing real-time news and analysis across every major sport, VSiN will tap Mead’s media and sports betting expertise in an effort to further expand its audience, build its brand and solidify its position as the trusted authority in sports betting news, information, and analysis.
“Len has excelled at creating original content and growing audience across all platforms throughout his career, and we’re thrilled to add his expertise to our leadership team,” said Brian Musburger, founder and CEO of VSiN. “Not only does Len bring a wealth of media experience from his prior roles at ESPN, NBC Sports, NESN and others, but he also brings sports betting industry knowledge from his time as head of content for PointsBet. We believe this combination will help VSiN deliver its premium sports betting content to even more bettors, on more platforms, in new ways.”
Mead’s 27-year career spans the sports media ecosystem, with extensive leadership roles at both national and regional sports networks and sports leagues, as well as in the sports betting industry. As General Manager, Mead will be involved in all aspects of VSiN’s operations, with a particular focus on further improving VSiN’s leading offering across all media platforms and accelerating efforts to be the leading innovator in sports betting news and information.
“This is such an exciting time to join VSiN. Brian Musburger and his team have built something special and established VSiN as a leader in credible, intelligent betting content,” said Mead. “I’m looking forward to expanding our audience and serving bettors of all levels everywhere as they connect with sports.”
Mead joins VSiN from PointsBet, where he was VP of Content leading ground-breaking sports betting integrations across NBC Sports, Action Network, and multiple RSN’s for PointsBet’s challenger brand. Prior to PointsBet, Mead was VP of Media & Broadcasting Partnerships at the XFL where he helped develop and manage the unprecedented television access made available to fans inside the game with partners at ESPN and FOX.
At the NBC Sports Group’s Regional Sports Networks, Mead led content in Boston as the VP of Production & Programming where he increased original hours, grew all daypart ratings and was later named General Manager of NBCSNW (Portland, OR). Previously, Mead was the Director of Programming at New England Sports Network (NESN) where he helmed the network’s first original programming initiative. He began his career at ESPN where he spent eight years negotiating and managing league partnerships in Programming before shifting to new media as the Director of New Media Content in 2004.
Acquired by DraftKings Inc. (Nasdaq: DKNG) in March 2021, VSiN delivers real-time sports betting content to both sharp bettors and those who are brand new to sports betting action, setting the stage for the day’s biggest sports betting events.
