96.7 KBBE has flipped to AC “Mix 96.7 (https://www.adastraradio.com/kmpk)” under new KMPK call letters. Tammie Henson will host mornings, while the remainder of the day is coming from Westwood One’s 24/7 network programming.
1540 KNGL/98.9 K255DK has been relaunched as KMCP (https://www.adastraradio.com/kmcp). Positioned as “McPherson’s News, Sports & Classic Hits”, the station is absorbing much of the programming that had been heard on KBBE including morning host Mark Ekeland, the “Swap Shop” now hosted by Tammie Henson, and Kansas City Royals baseball.
Ad Astra Radio Owner/President Chris Shank stated, “We are fortunate to add the only two commercial radio stations licensed to McPherson to our family. Their solid and experienced radio staff has already become a major asset to our entire company. Our slogan at Ad Astra Radio is ‘Your Hometown Radio Stations’. Their longtime commitment to providing local news, weather and sports fits perfectly with our strategy of local radio. We have many great longtime customers and listeners in McPherson County and we look forward to being even better able to serve them all with 3 additional signals.
