The move marks a homecoming for Davis, who began his career at the station when it was Country “Max 102.9” KXMX from 1996-1998. He joins KZIA from Cumulus Appleton WI where he has been Operations Manager since August 2020 (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/195777/brian-davis-joins-cumulus-appleton-as-operations-manager/). Davis has also programmed Country “101.1 The River” WVRE Dubuque IA, was APD at Woodward Radio Group’s CHR “95.9 Kiss-FM” WKSZ and AC “104.3 The Breeze” turned Variety Hits “Chuck-FM” WCHK, Program Director of Cumulus CHR 101.5 WBNQ Bloomington IL from 2011-2016, and PD of Townsquare Media Classic Rock “Eagle 102.3” KXGE and Classic Hits “Q107.5” WDBQ-FM Dubuque.
Davis fills the opening created by Jenny Valliere’s move to WTMX Chicago (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/207605/jenny-valliere-joins-wtmx-as-md-midday-host/) as Music Director and afternoon co-host in April 2021.
