“El Gallo” becomes the second Regional Mexican station in the Myrtle Beach area joining iHeartMedia’s rimshot “El Patron 93.5 (https://elpatron935.iheart.com)” WLQB Ocean Isle Beach NC.
The station becomes Lara’s second under the “El Gallo” brand as he also operates “El Gallo 94.3 (https://elgallo943.com)” WLEL Ellaville/Americus GA via LMA. Lara is also a partner in Brothers Media, which operates “Latina 99.9 (https://latinaboston.com)” 1300 WJDA Quincy/W260DS Boston MA via LMA.
Gorilla Broadcasting Company acquired the former “Carolina Country” from Jeff Andrulonis’ Colonial Radio Group in February for $400,000 (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/220078/station-sales-week-of-2-18/).
