Positioning as “Lynchburg’s Classic Hits”, WHTU is focusing on music from the 1970s and 80s and emphasizing spot breaks limited to 90 seconds in length.
Burns is the principal stakeholder of Three Daughters Media, which owns multiple signals (https://virginiatalkradionetwork.com) programming Conservative Talk and CBS Sports Radio in the region, agreed to acquire WHTU (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/219759/station-sales-week-of-2-11/) from WVJT LLC in February for $325,000. The station had been simulcasting on 106.9 WZZI Bedford/Roanoke, but that station was sold (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/221055/station-sales-week-of-3-11/) to Educational Media Foundation in March and has joined EMF’s “K-Love (https://www.klove.com)” Christian AC network.
