Steele joins AGM from Beasley Classic Hip Hop “105.1 The Bounce (https://1051thebounce.com)” WMGC Detroit where he serves as APD/afternoon host. He will continue to fill that role remotely. Steele originally joined (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/176100/jonathan-steele-heads-to-afternoons-at-105-1-the-bounce/) WMGC in April 2019 before departing in October 2020 and then returning in April 2021 (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/207616/wmgc-sets-new-on-air-lineup/). Prior to Detroit, Steele programmed Hip Hop WAMO Pittsburgh, CHR “94.7 Hits-FM” WYUL Chateaugay NY/Montreal and CHR “98.5 Kiss-FM” WPIA Peoria. He has also worked on-air as ‘DJ Miracle’ at WHIZ-FM Zanesville OH and WNGY Peoria.
American General Media-Albuquerque has hired Jonathan Steele as Program Director of Rhythmic KKSS-FM “KISS 97.3” and Hot A/C KKRG “MIX 105.1” effective Wednesday, June 1st.
Jonathan Steele joins AGM from Beasley’s WMGC/The Bounce in Detroit where he served as Afternoon Host and APD. Prior stops include Program Director/Air Talent of WAMO in Pittsburgh, PA and Program Director/Air Talent at WPIA in Peoria, IL
“Jonathan has a real passion for creating great local, vibrant brands and will be a valuable leader on our staff. More than that, Jonathan is a wonderful person and will be a fantastic fit with our local team.” Said Scott Wiggins, Market Manager for American General Media/Albuquerque.
“When we spoke to Jonathan, we knew almost immediately that he embodied a unique set of skills that will elevate our brands on day one. He is a great listener and a passionate leader. We are thrilled he’s joining the AGM team.” Said Robert Lewis, Regional Director of Operations & Programming for American General Media/Albuquerque, NM and Bakersfield, CA.
