MBC Grand Broadcasting has swapped frequencies at two of its Grand Junction, CO stations.

Variety Hits “92.3 The Vault” KKVT and Country “100.7 The Moose” KMOS-FM exchanged dial positions at 12pm Thursday. The move places the Country format on the stronger signal as 92.3 operates with 100kW at 420 meters and 100.7 only 30kW at 475 meters.

In exchanging why the moves were made, the programmers for each station told KJCT-TV that the moves allow The Vault to eliminate listener confusion about it no longer having the Soft AC format it possessed a decade ago and for The Moose to no-longer operate adjacent to its primary competitor, Townsquare Media’s 99.9 KEKB.

MBC GRAND BROADCASTING/GRAND JUNCTION, CO has swapped frequencies for two of its properties, Country KMOZ (THE MOOSE 100.7) and Adult Hits KKVT (THE VAULT 92.3).
The move to 92.3 improves signal strength for KMOZ and distances it from TOWNSQUARE MEDIA crosstown Country competitor KEKB, which sits at 99.9.
THE MOOSE website already reflects the change to 92.3; check it out here (http://www.themoose1007.com/).
