Lightner Communications has expanded to Johnstown PA with the purchase of 101.3 W267CM Johnstown from Ted Schober’s ZIP2 LLC. While terms of that sale were not included in the sale filing, it does note that the translator’s facilities will be modified to fit within the contours of Lightner’s 1400 WYUP Loretto PA. WYUP serves as the originating station for Variety Hits “107.1 Jack-FM (https://light-rd.itmwpb.com/jack-fm/)” W296ED Altoona, while is also simulcast (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/220651/wphb-stunting-ahead-of-state-college-move-in/) on 1260 WPHB Phillipsburg/104.3 W282CV State College.
In the interim before the translator facility move, W267CM and current parent 850 WKGE Johnstown have dropped their former Classic Hits format and are now simulcasting WYUP/WPHB stretching the “Jack-FM” brand across all three markets.
