Iowa Public Radio (https://www.iowapublicradio.org) was formed in the early 2000s to combine and manage the operation of the stations of each of the three universities, all of which stopped funding the network in 2020. The deal includes the following stations:
Iowa State University’s 640 WOI and 90.1 WOI-FM Ames, 91.1 KNSK Fort Dodge, 90.7 KNSC Carroll, 89.1 KNSZ Ottumwa, 96.3 KICL Pleasantville, 105.9 KICP Patterson, 97.9 KNSL Lamoni, and 91.7 KICG Perry.
University of Iowa’s 910 WSUI and 91.7 KSUI Iowa City and 101.7 K269EK Dubuque.
University of Northern Iowa’s 91.1 KNSB Bettendorf, 89.5 KHKE and 90.9 KUNI Cedar Falls, 89.7 KNSY and 98.7 K254AE Dubuque, 1010 KRNI, 90.7 K214BA and 91.5 KNSM Mason City, 88.9 KICJ Mitchellville, 91.1 KICW Ottumwa, 104.7 K284CN Ames, 94.5 K233AA Davenport, 97.7 K249EJ Des Moines, 102.1 K271AF Eldridge, and 95.3 K237GD Iowa City.
Sanpete County Broadcasting Company will purchase Oldies “Utah’s Goat (http://utahsgoat.com)” 96.7 KQMB Levan and 1400 KSRR Provo/96.7 K244DH Saratoga Springs UT from JJIE Corporation for $170,000. As part of the deal SCBC will filed modification applications to relocate KSRR and KQMB to new sites as their current leases will no be continued. The buyer owns nine other radio stations and two LPTV’s in central Utah.
Local real estate brokers Gideon Fountain and Jonathan Wilcox’s Greenwich E-Radio LLC will purchase Talk 1490 WGCH (http://www.wgch.com/) Greenwich CT from Forte Family Broadcasting for $105,000. The buyers host a weekly show on the station and began operating WGCH via Time Brokerage Agreement on March 18.
Translator SalesVic Michael’s Mountain Community Translators will acquire 102.1 W271BP Williamsport PA from Montrose Broadcasting Corporation for $125,000. W271BP will be used to rebroadcast Conservative Talk 1380 WMLP (https://www.twinvalleystalk.com) Milton.
Colonial Radio Group of Williamsport purchases 96.1 W241AO Wye Mills MD from Hope Christian Church of Marlton NJ for $20,000. W241AO will rebroadcast Radio Broadcast Communications’ 1460 WKHZ (https://khztv.com/wkhz/) Easton MD.
Black River Valley Gospel Radio donates 90.5 W213AR Lyons Falls and 91.9 W220BO Lowville NY to Mars Hill Broadcasting. Both translators rebroadcast Mars Hill’s Christian Preaching 102.9 WMHR (https://www.marshillnetwork.org) Syracuse NY.
