Brennan joined KMOX as a weekend and evening host in September 1988 from 1550 WNTN Newton MA and has hosted in his current timeslot since 1990. He moved to Monday to Thursday only in 2017. Once leaving KMOX, he will continue to serve as moderator of PBS affiliate KETC-TV’s “Donnybrook” local debate show. Brennan was a panelist on the program from 1992 to 2009, when he rose to moderator.
In making the announcement on-air, Brennan told listeners, “after 33 1/2 years at KMOX plus another six years in Boston, it’s time. I’ve decided to step away from my Monday through Thursday radio microphone obligations.” He made the decision as he was expected to start new contract talks with the station. Brennan stated that he expected co-host Amy Marxkors and producer Chris Mihill to remain in the timeslot.
